PMB 75/130-60
PMB 75/130-60 is an elastomer-modified bitumen with a penetration of 75–130 dmm and a softening point of at least 60°C, classified to EN 14023. The polymer network gives elastic recovery of 70% or more, so the pavement resists both rutting in summer and cracking in winter.

Where PMB 75/130-60 is used
Polymer modified bitumen (PMB) adds elastomers such as SBS, or plastomers such as EVA, to the binder. The result is more elastic, more resistant to rutting and cracking, and longer-lasting.
- 01Heavy-duty and high-stress pavements
- 02Thin surfacings, SMA and porous asphalt
- 03Bridge decks and airport runways
- 04Stress-absorbing interlayers and surface dressing
Conforms to EN 14023
Supplied to EN 14023. Tested for penetration, softening point, elastic recovery, Fraass breaking point, storage stability and flash point.

Storing PMB 75/130-60

Temperature: Store between about 160°C and 180°C. Polymer-modified binders need slightly higher handling temperatures than plain bitumen.

Agitation: Use tanks with agitators or circulation so the polymer stays evenly dispersed. Unstirred PMB can separate over time.

Safety: Keep water away from hot binder, use heat-resistant PPE, and keep the area ventilated and free of ignition sources.

Shelf life: Plan deliveries to be used within days of arrival where possible. Long hot storage degrades the polymer.
